Trips are either 4, 5, or 7 days. We schedule them and you join them. You can
sign up as a single, couple or book all eight spots with friends and family.
Any way you choose to do it, you get great service and great food. We take
care of all the camp chores. All you have to do is enjoy yourself. Follow

We can honestly say this was one of the best trips we've ever taken; we had a wonderful time.
I am not much of a rider but (apart from sore knees at the end of the first day) I found this no obstacle; it was clear to me within the first half hour that my horse not only was a sweetheart but knew every step of the way, and that I could just relax and enjoy sights I could not have seen without her, while she picked her sure-footed way to camp.
And things got only better - a comfortable tent, already pitched for us by the time we arrived; delicious, plentiful food; staff who were competent, considerate, and a joy to be with; gorgeous surroundings - a high meadow with an unpolluted creek running through it; a wide choice spectacular rides or hikes by day and a campfire and dinner and wine and good company by night. This was one of the happiest weeks of my life.

4 Day All-Expense Packing School in Northern Yosemite

The Yosemite Packing School can teach you the things you need to know to begin packing mules and horses. You will learn the function and use of the pack saddle, how to make up loads that will ride, how and why to tie different hitches, how to safely lead a string of mules, how to deal with hard to handle pack stock, "Leave no trace" methods of livestock camping, basic back country livestock first aid, and the
traditions and history of packing in the Sierra.
